1. Our commitment
GirlsConnect enforces a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including any content, behavior, solicitation or connection involving minors. This page describes our public child safety standards, in accordance with the requirements of the distribution platforms (Google Play, App Store) and applicable laws.
2. An app reserved for adults
GirlsConnect is strictly reserved for adult women (18 and over). Minors are not allowed to create an account or use the app. To enforce this rule, we implement:
- requiring the date of birth at sign-up, with minors being refused;
- a profile verification process reviewed by our moderation team;
- the deletion of any account identified as belonging to a minor or whose declared age is manifestly false.
3. Prohibited content and behavior
The following are strictly prohibited and result in immediate deletion of the account:
- any sexual content involving a minor, whether real or simulated;
- any attempt to solicit, groom or connect with a minor;
- any sharing, publication or request for such content via profiles, posts, groups, outings or private messages.
4. Detection and moderation
Our moderation team, assisted by automated content analysis tools, reviews profiles, published content and reports. Prohibited content is removed without notice, the accounts involved are permanently banned, and the evidence is preserved for transmission to the authorities.
5. Reporting in the app
Every profile, post, message, group or outing can be reported directly in the app using the report button. Reports relating to child safety are handled as a priority by our moderation team. You can also alert us by email at contact@girlsconnect.net.
6. Cooperation with the authorities
Any content or behavior involving the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors is reported to the competent authorities, in particular via the French platform PHAROS, and we cooperate fully with law enforcement as part of legal proceedings. If you witness an emergency involving a minor, immediately contact the police (17 in France) or 3018 (online violence against minors).
7. Point of contact
For any questions regarding child safety and the enforcement of these standards, our designated point of contact can be reached at contact@girlsconnect.net (subject: "Child Safety").
8. Compliance
GirlsConnect complies with applicable laws on the protection of minors and the fight against child sexual exploitation, as well as with the child safety policies of Google Play and the App Store.
