1. Purpose
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the mobile application and services GirlsConnect (the "App"), published by Linier Labs SAS, whose registered office is located at 9 allée du Bigné, 64140 LONS, France (the "Publisher").
By creating an account or using the App, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not accept them, you must not use the App.
2. Description of the service
GirlsConnect is a women-only social app that notably allows: discovering members and connecting based on shared interests, organizing and taking part in outings and events (in person or online), taking part in groups and communities, publishing content, private messaging, and accessing partners' professional pages.
3. Access and eligibility conditions
- The App is reserved for women aged 18 or over. See also our note on the protection of minors.
- Registration requires accurate, up-to-date and truthful information.
- A profile verification process is in place to preserve the exclusively female nature of the community. The Publisher reserves the right to refuse or revoke access for anyone who does not meet the eligibility conditions.
- Each user may hold only one account, which is strictly personal.
4. Account and security
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity carried out from your account. In the event of unauthorized use of your account, notify us without delay at contact@girlsconnect.net.
5. Rules of conduct
When using the App, you agree in particular not to:
- impersonate anyone or provide false information (including about your gender or age);
- harass, threaten, disparage or discriminate against other members;
- publish unlawful, hateful, violent or pornographic content, or content that infringes third-party rights;
- solicit other members for unauthorized commercial purposes, prostitution, fraud or canvassing;
- collect other members' data or attempt to circumvent security and verification measures;
- use the App for purposes other than those intended (making friends, outings, communities).
6. User content
You retain ownership of the content you publish (photos, text, events, etc.). However, you grant the Publisher a non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free license to host, reproduce and display this content, strictly as necessary for the operation of the App.
You are solely responsible for the content you publish. Any content may be reported using the built-in reporting tools and removed by moderation if it breaches these Terms.
7. Outings and events
Outings are organized by the members themselves. The Publisher is neither the organizer nor a guarantor of events and cannot be held liable for incidents occurring during in-person meetings. We recommend applying the usual precautions (public places, telling someone close to you, etc.). The exact address of an outing is only shared with registered attendees.
8. Paid services
The App is free. Optional subscriptions and in-app purchases are offered via the App Store (Apple) and Google Play, at the prices and under the conditions shown before any purchase. Payments, renewals and cancellations of subscriptions are handled by the app stores under their own terms. The App may also display advertising.
9. Moderation and sanctions
A moderation team ensures compliance with these Terms. In the event of a breach, the Publisher may apply, in a graduated and proportionate manner: a warning, a temporary restriction of features, a suspension, or permanent deletion of the account, without prejudice to any legal action. Manifestly unlawful content may be removed without notice and reported to the competent authorities.
10. Intellectual property
The App, its brand, logos, design and content (excluding user content) are the exclusive property of the Publisher. Any unauthorized reproduction or use is prohibited.
11. Personal data
The processing of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
12. Liability
The Publisher makes reasonable efforts to ensure the availability and security of the App, without guaranteeing the absence of interruptions or errors. The Publisher cannot be held liable for members' conduct, for the content they publish, or for indirect damages arising from use of the App.
13. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the App settings. The Publisher may suspend or delete an account in the event of a breach of these Terms, under the conditions described in Article 9.
14. Changes to the Terms
The Publisher may update these Terms. In the event of a substantial change, you will be informed by any appropriate means (in-app notification, email). Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first. In accordance with Articles L.611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge. Failing that, the French courts shall have jurisdiction.
